The CP Block is a novel building material
made from compressed rice straw which converts an agricultural waste
product into a structural and insulating building material. We
propose to study this innovative straw-bale block that is designed
for use in residential wall systems. We will perform a comparison
of several residential wall systems and the CP Block, examining their
engineering, environmental, health, and cost characteristics. We
will also conduct a survey to predict consumer demand for housing constructed
from the CP Block. |
